PAINTING, ABSTRACT PAINTING, VISUAL ART
Throughout my studies,  I have created an array of abstract expressionism style paintings.  My interest in this style comes from an early obsession with urban Sydney graffiti culture and 1980's New York art scene.  Stylistically I have been influenced by the likes of Christopher Le Burn, Jean Michael Basquiat, Roy Jackson, Sean Scully, Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock.  I enjoy working in this style as it enables me to be explore creative impulses and express my feelings and emotions. My paintings A Person Standing, Caves and Meadows were selected for a group show at BADNEWSGALLERY in Wollongong. The gallery curators and audience members enjoyed how the unique mark making, use of colour enabled them to feel emotions while viewing the work.
